Withdrawing, withdrawing,
desiring respite in seclusion
Days drifting, drifting, drifting on
all of life a pitiful illusion
Thinking, thinking, thinking, dark ‘til dawn
Seeming sudden, shadows cast a light
that only poignant dreaming could ignite
“it is never, ever, to late to mend”
even as a journey nears its end

How important it is to always believe that better times can come and the hurt of today can turn to hope and contentment tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this shower of inspiration
ReplyDeleteHope for new beginnings should be part of every breath, even our last. It's what keeps the soul going. Love this. And the rhythm is yummy.
ReplyDeleteWithdrawing can sometimes feel like the only thing we can do - it is perhaps a place to meditate as long as it doesn't pull us under for too long
ReplyDeleteI like the thought that we can all escape the passive acceptance of life just washing over us, and learn to swim strongly instead.
